Athulya's journey in the world of dance began at a tender age of 6, under the esteemed tutelage of Sri. Gopakumar and Smt. Kalamandalam Vathsala Hari in Kerala, she embarked on her bharathanatyam training. Moreover she attended many interim short term dance learning sessions and workshops conducted by Great Gurus like Smt. Padma Subhramaniyam, Smt. Ramavaidyanathan etc.... Her quest for innovation led her to seek further guidance from Guru Nadanamamani Dr. Janaki Rangarajan, Chennai, who is now at the forefront of the new generation bharathanatyam dancers. Now Athulya is a disciple of Dr. Janaki Rangarajan.

Athulya's passion for dance extends beyond the stage.Apart from her artistic pursuit she holds a bachelor degree in commerce which shows her commitment to academic excellence. She earned a diploma in Bharathanatyam from IGNO university. And completed her Master of Fine arts (MFA) in Bharathanatyam from Annamalai University.

Athulya's artistic range extended beyond Bharathanatyam.she studied Mohiniyattam under the guidance of Smt. Vinitha Nedungadi, a renowned Mohiniyattam exponent at Palakkad,Kerala for many years.
